Robin Magee

Cause of death: Choking

Obituary From The Watch Newspapers -

Robin Magee was synonymous with the Wilkinson Public Library where she worked for 18 years. Robin played a leading role in the construction of the current library building that opened in September 2000. Magee's passion for reading and learning encouraged and inspired her co-workers as well as the community to support the creation of the expanded facility and services that Telluride residents and visitors enjoy today. Robin was also an integral part of numerous other local organizations and served on various state library committees and boards. She was the vanguard for the preservation of open space in the Ophir Valley and led the successful charge to preserve Waterfalls Canyon and Swamp Canyon.

Robin is remembered for her passion and tenacity and, above all, her kindness. Shortly before her death in March, at 51, Robin had told friends that she felt complete in her life and was ready for the next thing, whatever that might be.

My wife and I, along with our two sons, spent a few days with Robin in Telluride a few years before she died.  Despite the years and miles that had grown between us since high school days, she was the same Robin that all of us knew and loved -- vivacious, free-spirited, beautiful, and happy.  She holds a special place in the hearts of all who knew her, is fondly remembered, and dearly missed.

Robin was thriving in her life in Telluride-developing an excellent Library, completing the building of her own home -spending a few year of the visualizing and all the design. She bult it up in Montrose. She was passionate about continuing with her Meditation and Yoga practice. In Telluride she continued to make a life that was full of kindness to others, right livelihood and compassion to her pets. She loved the mountains.  She had started making her own early retiremnt plans for a life where there could be more time for yoga and meditation and the mountain life she so loved,  when she died so suddently. Her sense of adventure, candor and humor made her freindship a treasure and I miss her.

Sad passing, but promoted to glory. Robin had a huge influence in my life that started my journey to discover Jesus Christ. But now she is rejoicing with the Lord.

Robin was influential in leading to the Lord. I shall always lift her up to the Lord, and now she is rejoicing with Him in Glory
