Emily was one of my good friends in grade school. I remember she had stayed the night the day that President Kennedy was shot. She and I played trolls together. She was a sweet girl with a very deep voice. I will always remember her. I was also good friends with her brother Mike. <3
I loved Emily . She was a sweet person and always seemed upbeat. Emily and I shared a locker the year she passed away. I remember getting to school and finding her books and personal items removed. I was told that she died from the Hong King flu. I never found out if that was true but it changed my life.I have always gotten a flu shot since they first produced them and I have told her story each year since. Her story has encouraged many friends of mine to get a flu shots. I'm positive that it saved lives.

I think Emily died in our freshman year. She fell ill one day, and never got up. It was terrifying to think that this could happen to a friend.

She was a beautiful young woman and her life was too short.
Emily’s Family created a scholarship fund that helped me get through nursing school
I’ll never forget them for that, and I hope everyone I helped during my career directly benefited
by Emily’s life!
