I was on the football team very breifly my junior and senior year. Jeff was around 200lbs, and I was maybe 140. Ocassionaly I'd have to line up across from Jeff, and he'd go at me with about 20% effort, and always with a smile on his face. He made it look real too, so I wouldn't get in trouble with any of the coaches.
It was such a kind thing to do. I suspect he lived his whole life that way.
I don't think that I can capture the nature of Jeff Roseman's spirit better than Robert did! He really was a gentle giant! Jeff and I went to Senior Prom together, and had a wonderful time. We went as friends, so it was our only "date". Jeff was always good natured, friendly but quiet. So sad to read about his passing.
