After my education at DHS, I continued on to Western, Il. Univ., and then to Chicago Medical School, where I received my BS in Physical Therapy.
I definitely feel, God has directed my life and have had an awesome career as a physical therapist. I love my occupation and have worked with patients from new borns to 104 years old. I've worked in jails, therapy with handicapped children with horses (hippotherapy),school system, wealthy people, people without running water, hospital, out patient, nursing homes, and home health. Most recently, I have been a travel Physical Therapist for the past 5 years. It has been challenging moving from place to place, having to find housing and move within a few days, not knowing anyone, adjusting to new work settings and computer documentaion systems. I feel God has given me the patience and global knowledge and talents to treat these people/family, and improve their abilities. This generation of Physical Therapy isn't what I've signed up for. I'm looking forward to retiring soon.
I have been single for 25 years and have two sons, Mark 37 and Eric 34. I am looking forward to being a grandma for the first time April 2021.
I have been fortunate to raise my boys on a lake on the IL/WI border called Lake Shangrila. It's like the name sounds, peaceful and beautiful. My boys hunt and fish and do all the 'Grumpy Old Men' things. I was brought up in a fishing family and hope to enjoy the nature in my backyard even more when I retire.
I am involved in my church and continue to use my gift of music to participate in the music and shows they perform.
I love to travel, participate in different cultures, and explore God's creation . Traveling will be part of my retirement, many places/adventures on my bucket list.
